I am a native West, Texan and have lived here most of my life. I have been a part of our school community for 25 years.
After graduating from Baylor University with a BSE and attaining my TX Teacher Certification in Elementary Self-Contained (Grades 01-08), Elementary Reading (Grades 01-08), and Early Childhood Education (Grades PK-KG), I began teaching 2nd Grade in 1999 and stayed in that position for 9 years. After that, I taught JH Math and Religion for 6 years. My most recent positions have included Athletic Director/PE Teacher/ Head VB, BB, and Track coach.
Personally, I have 4 sons, all who are SMCS alumni. I feel that SMCS has helped them to grow into the wholesome young men God created them to be. I am passionate about spending time with my sons, whether it is watching them compete in sporting events or just hanging out. They are truly the joys in my life. In my spare time, I enjoy working out, cooking, and reading a good book. My prayer is that I have been at least half the teacher that my own students have been for me.
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
